Georgia in Springtime....

Image
Hi Sweet Friends, I first want to say hello to my newest followers!!! Welcome dear ladies! I hope you will enjoy coming here and I will be visiting you as well!!! Today I want to share with you all some pictures of my Roses...I thought you would like to take a few minutes and enjoy natures beauty here in Georgia!!! It is so gorgeous here in the Springtime. This is my favorite time of the year here in the south. Today is just a perfect temp, in the 70's and low humidity. The lake photos are of our largest lake here in Georgia it is called Lake Lanier. There is fishing and boating on the lake. The color of the water was a lovely green/blue yesterday on Easter. We took a bit of a ride for the afternoon before we came back to our Easter dinner. I did not do a typical Easter dinner...I bought a lovely roast and put it in the crock pot with fresh veggies. I made some red potatoes and lovely rolls with a small salad. Ice cream was for dessert!

Making Some Handmade Jewelry....

Hi Sweeties!! I thought I would do a quick post and show all of you what I have been up to lately! This first gorgeous cuff bracelet is for my future Daughter-in-law. My oldest son and his fiance' will be getting married soon and I am making a few pieces for her special day!! White satin ribbons will keep the cuff in place on her wrist. I have been busy making some button bracelets for my booth as well. The center button is an earring that I took the clip off of and then used my E6000 glue to mount it on a MOP button. I also added some rhinestones and little pearls to the other buttons. I think it came out really cute!  This button bracelet I made is all mother of Pearl buttons, and I also attached some rhinestones to the top of each one! The flower in the middle was also a button that I snipped the bottom off of. Sorry this picture is not too good. The different hues of the mother of pearl buttons is so stunning in the light, I wish I could ha

Hi Dear Friends, Today I wanted to share the Vintage Spring Jar that I made for Laurie my swap partner. The little bird house was an unpainted little house that I had for awhile. I first painted it with some acrylic cream paint, which I had already used to paint the lid with. I used some garden themed paper I had to then glue onto the little house. the roof is made with some vintage wall paper. I used some moss to tuck in where the flowers were on the lid. I had bought a set of enameled birds and used one for this little house...isn't he cute!!  The flowers around the jar were wound with wire on a very small white picket fence I had that I painted in cream. I also used some glitter around the edge of the lid. Here are some items I tucked into the jar for Laurie!! We were suppose to include at least half the jar with vintage items. I had a vintage Hankie, Buttons, Green velvet ribbon and trim...etc.  I gave Laurie a c
