Hello Dear Friends....

So I'm here again!...I may just start blogging once more!!

I wanted to share with you a simple little
collage I made this week.

I used a vintage book cover as my base. I love the dark green base for the collage. The little girl is from Paper Whimsy. Since I wanted to make something to herald in springtime...I decided to use some vintage ephemera that I have collected over the years. I used a vintage book page from some nature pages my friend Tina had sent to me from Denmark. The feather I have the little girl holding is from a friend in British Columbia, from one of her birds, who donates his feathers!! LOL......I also used a wee little nest I was gifted in a swap a couple of years ago. The little metal hanger I though was a cute
way to hang the collage...On the little label it says "Magical"!
Springtime to me is a magical time of year, as nature once again brings forth
beautiful flowers, and lush landscapes so pleasing to our soul.
A rebirth of all that is lovely.

I hope All of you are doing well and would love to hear from you
my dear friends once again....

God Bless you all with Love and Happiness....

Susan :)

Welcome in 2014

Hello Friends...

It has been far too long since I wrote here on my blog. One of my dear friends left
the Face Book community and started to blog again. It got me thinking about blogging
and how much fun it was meeting all of you and sharing our lives with one another.

I am not sure if I will continue again full time to blogging...but, as my dear friend said,
"Once you start blogging, it becomes easier"!

How is everyone doing out there?...Many of you have stuck with me...which amazes me.
Thank you for that!!

For those of you who don't know...My husband, my mom and I, moved to Savannah, GA. in August of 2013. We love it here so very much. We live in a lovely home by the marsh. We are near Tybee Island, where the ocean is, and close enough to downtown Savannah's historic district to take a stroll on a Sunday afternoon.

I will post some pictures of our new home....

God Bless you All with much Love and Happiness....XOXO

Our New Home in Savannah, GA.

Hello Dear Friends....

It has been a very long time since I have posted. Do you remember me?

Many changes have taken place in my life. The biggest change took place
this past July. Our dream of moving to Savannah, Ga. finally came true.
My husband, my mom, our little kitty "Miss Daisy" and I are now settled
into our new home.

God does indeed answer prayer. His timing in our lives is perfect in every way.
Sometimes our prayers take years to finally come to pass....This was the case
in our lives.

We live in a home that was built in 1943. We live on almost an acre of land, with
a view out our back screened in porch of the marsh and Savannah water way.
One of my most favorite things to do, is sit on our porch in the morning and look
out across the grass and our deck and boat dock to the marsh, to the exceedingly tall
Oaks trees, with the beautiful wisps of Spanish moss clinging to the branches of the
oak trees and palm trees....It is pure Heaven here.

We are home.....Thank you God for your most perfect gifts....

An Ocean Adventure

 Hello Friends....

I know I have been absent from my Blog..forever!!
I am on FB most of the time now. It is easier
to keep up with my grand kids and friends from there
than here.
I am still going through health issues quite a bit. Mostly
lots of pain to deal with. I find I can't do things for any length
of time, before I get to exhausted.
I will still come by here to blog every now and then and try to visit
you, when I can.  I miss all or you...who know maybe I will be back
more full time at some point in time.

I thought I would share one of my newest creations with you.
I call it "An Ocean Adventure"!!

I hope all of you are doing well and happy.

If you want to

Just Peeking In To Say Hi!!

Hi Everyone!!

Hoping All of you are enjoying 2013
so far!!
As for me...well I am sick with one
of those horrible Flu like Virus' that are
going around. Sorry to say I don't look
as healthy as I do in this photo I took of
myself on New Years Eve. At
the moment I look like death
warmed over, and feel like it!!

Hoping to get back into my craft room
when I feel better, and start going through
a lot of my stuff and get rid of things I don't
need anymore!!
When the fabrics, ribbons,
laces and such are all in their rightful places
my mind can start thinking of new ideas and
then the creative juices can once again flow.

Drop in and say Hi...I love hearing from you!!

Love and Blessings to All

The Scottish Highland Games at Stone Mountain, GA.

 Hello Sweet Friends,

I wanted to share with you an event that my
husband an I have attended for the last 5 years
now.
Both my husband and myself come from Scottish
decent. We love to visit the highland Games when they come to the beautiful Stone Montain
Park, out side of Atlanta.
this year was the Highland Games 40th. anniversary at  Stone Mountain Park!
This is the famous Stone Mountain. there is a beautiful carving on the side of Robert E. Lee and General Sherman.

While you stroll through the many Clan booths and wares people are selling, you can find a booth where you can purchase a beautiful costume. I love this picture so much of the elderly lady adjusting the beautiful costume
for the young lady, as the mother looks on!

I always have to stop by my clans booth to visit this lovely couple. The husband is a Mac Dougall, My maiden name is McDowell and so we come from the same cThe bagpipes always sound wonderful to me. At the end of the show, the bands come out on the parade ground and start playing. There are always awards for the days performances, highland games, dances and best pipers.

We had a wonderful day and can't wait till
next year!!

This is a picture of me...My dear friend Cindy had given me some Dragonfly earrings recently
and wanted a picture of me wearing them.

Wishing you All a Blessed day!!

Love to you All

Susan

What I Have Been Up To Lately??

 Hi Sweet Fiends!!

I hope All of you are enjoying some cooler
weather, now that we are coming into Fall.
I know some of you are still have some rather
hot weather though.

I have been pretty busy lately making different
things.
I made this beautiful Satin flower cuff bracelet
recently, for a friend of mine, who loves pink!

I wrapped the cuff around this vintage jewelry
roll. There are tiny accordion pockets that
expand and a larger zippered compartment.
I put little charms, crystal drops, a watch face,
and other little trinkets in each pocket for her
too!

To the right is where I keep some of my ribbons
and trims! Little fabric books..etc!
My newest Indian Maiden bag was a Birthday gift to a cherished friend of mine. Marilyn loves the Native Americans so much. She was so excited about the cowgirl bags and Indian Maiden bags I was making, to Help the Lokota Indians in S. Dakota, so I knew just the present to gift her with!!!
This was a little stuffed doll that my friend had made. It was her very first one she made and when she stuffed the poor little doll...well he did not live up to her expectations...She called called him her little baby hulk!!
She had sent me a picture of little baby hulk...and I told her I could fix him up for her. So when I received him, i took one look at him and knew just what to do!!

I made little levi overalls for him, I little shirt
and bandana too!! I have a few of these cute little straw hats, and so stuck one on his head...he is no longer little hulk baby...My friend received him back from me...and was totally shocked by his amazing transformation!!!  She now calls him..Farmer Pete!!!

I love the backside of him...Don't you??

Well Friends...let me know what all of you have been up to lately, ok?

Miss you  and Love to you All!!  Susan xxoo

A Collage Made for A Friend......

Hi Dear Friends....

I have been absent from Blogland
for soooo long! I have missed you
very much!!!

I can not believe that this is the last
day of summer...where did it go???
For me summer was spent at the
Physical Therapy office.
In some ways I have improved,
in other ways I have not. I will probably
keep going for awhile longer. I started
in June and now we are going into
October. I must say the weather here
in Georgia has cooled off a bit...whew
I can not take the hot hot summers
here at all!! Too hot for me!

I wanted to share a collage I have just
finished making for a dear friend of mine.
Her birthday was a couple of weeks ago.
But between her and my schedule's we
have been unable to find the time to
meet up. Nevertheless I made this
just for her! She loves the soft greens,
golds, tans, and pinks. So I am hoping
 that she will like it!!!

How are All of you doing?? Please drop

me a note and let me know you are still
reading my blog....since i do not blog
as much...you may have drifted away!

I must confess that I am on FB
much more now.

I have some other things to share
with you soon...so don't go too far away...Ok?

Love and Gods Blessings with you always...

Twice Paying it Forward.......with Love!

Hi Sweet Friends,

I am hoping you are All doing well dear friends!!

Lately I have been busy making another one of my bags for someone who contacted me on  Facebook recently.  She wanted to give her friend one of my bags to help her in her fight with Cancer. I was so honored to make this for her dear friend.

As I sewed each stitch and placed each embellishment on the bag, I prayed that this sweet woman would beat her cancer and once again enjoy her life to the fullest in good Health and Happiness.
As many of you know I send part of the money I recieve to go to KC Willis in her journey to help the Lakota Indians on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota.

This bag as My friend so eloquently put it is like "Passing it Forward Twice"...one to help her friend and then also to help the Lakota people.

Do you notice the little hand I attached here.......I attached it to the bag as a symbol of people helping and praying for those who are in need...no matter of the need....That they will have a helping hand to lift them up from their despair and pain. To give comfort and Love.

Wishing you All Blessings and Love upon Angel wings............
