    dearest susan...you can't KNOW what your visit to my blog tonight and your comment has meant to me! (and my mom). The picture of my parents is mine and my mother's most precious picture and memory of my father. ALL the years i've looked at it and I had never noticed that the "lighter" part of the photo really does resemble wings over their shoulders!! The eye is trained to look at what is "literal." I gasped...they really DOI look like wings! my mother was overjoyed when i called her and she went to take another look at it!! that you would point that out to me (and her) on st. valentine's day means MORE than you will EVER know! Merci..merci for bringing us both a happy heart on this special d( and somewhat bittersweet) day!

Hello Dear Friends.... So I'm here again!...I may just start blogging once more!! I wanted to share with you a simple little collage I made this week. I used a vintage book cover as my base. I love the dark green base for the collage. The little girl is from Paper Whimsy. Since I wanted to make something to herald in springtime...I decided to use some vintage ephemera that I have collected over the years. I used a vintage book page from some nature pages my friend Tina had sent to me from Denmark. The feather I have the little girl holding is from a friend in British Columbia, from one of her birds, who donates his feathers!! LOL......I also used a wee little nest I was gifted in a swap a couple of years ago. The little metal hanger I though was a cute way to hang the collage...On the little label it says "Magical"! My Beautiful Sam Passed Away This Afternoon......

Hello Dear Friends, With an extremely heavy heart I tell you that I have lost my little friend tonight. I thought he was having hairball problems and so my husband and I brought him to the vets late this afternoon. Upon arrival Sam was gasping for breath and they rushed him into a room and gave him ogygen. The nurse asked us if she could take an x-ray to see what was going on. When the nurse came back to the room she told us the devastating news, that Sam had a tumor next to his heart and that his lungs were filled with fluid. I was just floored....I am still in shock. We had Sam for 4 1/2 years and he was...well how do I explain to you the love that he gave us....he was always there for me....he would lie by my side in bed when I was ill and after two major surgeries....he would eat, have is water, and just stay with me. I always said he was a gift from God and he truly was. Tonight this is what I have learned.....even after my Sam has passed away he leaves this last gift   ....

Just Peeking In To Say Hi!!

Hi Everyone!! Hoping All of you are enjoying 2013 so far!! As for me...well I am sick with one of those horrible Flu like Virus' that are going around. Sorry to say I don't look as healthy as I do in this photo I took of myself on New Years Eve. At the moment I look like death warmed over, and feel like it!! Hoping to get back into my craft room when I feel better, and start going through a lot of my stuff and get rid of things I don't need anymore!! When the fabrics, ribbons, laces and such are all in their rightful places my mind can start thinking of new ideas and then the creative juices can once again flow.
