This is our Flag.....Men have fought for our Flag. Men have died for our Flag. Men have lost everything for our Flag. Did you know that
many of the men that signed our Declaration of Independance
lost their lives, lost their wealth, their homes and lands for our free country. They believed in our "United States".....UNITED WE STAND and DIVIDED WE FALL. On this day while commemorating our flag
we must not forget the men and women who have stood proud and tall, and saw a better way.free from tyranny, free to think, to feel, to say out loud that we are AMERICANS....ONE NATION UNDER GOD....FOR LIBERTY.....FOR JUSTICE......FOR ALL. We must never
also forget our young men and women who are fighting for freedom in other lands right now. We love them and pray for all of them and their safe return back home again.

    I'm so grateful to all the men and women who have put their lives on the line for us. My son, Matthew, a Russian translator, will be going to Afghanistan soon with his group. He is learning Pashti right now so he can be their 'translator'. He's given five years to the service now.

Hello Dear Friends.... So I'm here again!...I may just start blogging once more!! I wanted to share with you a simple little collage I made this week. I used a vintage book cover as my base. I love the dark green base for the collage. The little girl is from Paper Whimsy. Since I wanted to make something to herald in springtime...I decided to use some vintage ephemera that I have collected over the years. I used a vintage book page from some nature pages my friend Tina had sent to me from Denmark. The feather I have the little girl holding is from a friend in British Columbia, from one of her birds, who donates his feathers!! LOL......I also used a wee little nest I was gifted in a swap a couple of years ago. The little metal hanger I though was a cute way to hang the collage...On the little label it says "Magical"! Springtime to me is a magical time of year, as nature once again brings forth beautiful flowers, and lush landscapes so pleasing to our soul. A
