Snowing in the South

Well here it is "SNOWING" in Georgia!! What a beautiful sight out in my back yard. There was a big Owl sitting in one of the trees with the snow falling and the red cardinals were flying around the bird feeder in my neighbors yard,  they were so beautiful against the white snow. I took some pictures and will try to get them downloaded here on my blog soon.

Would love to hear some of your favorite snow stories from when you were little...
Mine is when I was nine years old my parents and I moved from Miami where I was born
out to Denver Co. I had never seen snow before. We drove from Fla. to Colorado and
we stopped over night in Colorado Springs. The very next morning we were getting up
and it had snowed over night. I went out and scooped up some snow and brought
some in the motel room and told my Mom wow this stuff is cold and my Mom said
what did you think snow was???...Duhhh all I had was a snow globe from my Grandmother
one year....and it never snowed in Miami soooo I suppose I thought snow was
like those little white things floating around in my snowglobe!! I have a picture of myself
making a snowman in my peddal pushers, and my raincoat!!! Ha Ha those were the days!!

    Wow, your snow looks like mine. I don't have any real memories of snow as a child, we lived in CA. But we made some beautiful memories these last couple of days. The last time it snowed our kids were only 3 & wanted NOTHING to do with any of it. Today they had the best time playing in the snow, making snowmen, the whole deal. I know I'll always remember this winter storm. Lisa

    No snow here, but as a child I lived in Montana and North Dakota, so I know ALL about snow!

    Up North, life goes on....schools stay open, business doesn't grind to a standstill...it's funny to contrast that to how we deal with it in Texas.

Hello Dear Friends.... So I'm here again!...I may just start blogging once more!! I wanted to share with you a simple little collage I made this week. I used a vintage book cover as my base. I love the dark green base for the collage. The little girl is from Paper Whimsy. Since I wanted to make something to herald in springtime...I decided to use some vintage ephemera that I have collected over the years. I used a vintage book page from some nature pages my friend Tina had sent to me from Denmark. The feather I have the little girl holding is from a friend in British Columbia, from one of her birds, who donates his feathers!! LOL......I also used a wee little nest I was gifted in a swap a couple of years ago. The little metal hanger I though was a cute way to hang the collage...On the little label it says "Magical"!
