Hello Dear Friends.... So I'm here again!...I may just start blogging once more!! I wanted to share with you a simple little collage I made this week. I used a vintage book cover as my base. I love the dark green base for the collage. The little girl is from Paper Whimsy. Since I wanted to make something to herald in springtime...I decided to use some vintage ephemera that I have collected over the years. I used a vintage book page from some nature pages my friend Tina had sent to me from Denmark. The feather I have the little girl holding is from a friend in British Columbia, from one of her birds, who donates his feathers!! LOL......I also used a wee little nest I was gifted in a swap a couple of years ago. The little metal hanger I though was a cute way to hang the collage...On the little label it says "Magical"! Hello Friends...                                             It has been far too long since I wrote here on my blog. One of my dear friends left the Face Book community and started to blog again. It got me thinking about blogging and how much fun it was meeting all of you and sharing our lives with one another. Hello Dear Friends.... It has been a very long time since I have posted. Do you remember me? Many changes have taken place in my life. The biggest change took place this past July. Our dream of moving to Savannah, Ga. finally came true. My husband, my mom, our little kitty "Miss Daisy" and I are now settled into our new home. God does indeed answer prayer. His timing in our lives is perfect in every way. Sometimes our prayers take years to finally come to pass....This was the case in our lives. We live in a home that was built in 1943. We live on almost an acre of land, with a view out our back screened in porch of the marsh and Savannah water way. One of my most favorite things to do, is sit on our porch in the morning and look out across the grass and our deck and boat dock to the marsh, to the exceedingly tall Oaks trees, with the beautiful wisps of Spanish moss clinging to the branches of the oak trees and palm trees....It is pure Hea...

 Hello Friends.... I know I have been absent from my Blog..forever!! I am on FB most of the time now. It is easier to keep up with my grand kids and friends from there than here. I am still going through health issues quite a bit. Mostly lots of pain to deal with. I find I can't do things for any length of time, before I get to exhausted.  Hello Everyone!! I know it has been ages since I posted anything! Many things have been going on, but I will not bore you with all the gory details!! One of the things that we will be doing this summer, is moving to Savannah! My husband and I have been planning this for a long time now! We are looking forward to a brand new start! Here are some St. Patrick's Day photo's for you, that we took last weekend in Savannah, GA.     This is a little St. Patty's Brooch I made to wear for the big  day!  I could not believe the volume of people, all dressed in green!! We had the most perfect weather!!!  I adore the "Paris Market" in downtown Savannah.  This is one of the windows in the front of the store. So many wonderful bands, floats and Kilts!!!  Hi Sweet Friends..... Happy to report that I am feeling so much better after suffering from a virus recently. I was sick for over 2 weeks. I hope you all are staying well so far this year. Hi Everyone!! Hoping All of you are enjoying 2013 so far!! As for me...well I am sick with one of those horrible Flu like Virus' that are going around. Sorry to say I don't look as healthy as I do in this photo I took of myself on New Years Eve. At the moment I look like death warmed over, and feel like it!! Hoping to get back into my craft room when I feel better, and start going through a lot of my stuff and get rid of things I don't need anymore!! When the fabrics, ribbons, laces and such are all in their rightful places my mind can start thinking of new ideas and then the creative juices can once again flow.  Hello Sweet Friends, I wanted to share with you an event that my husband an I have attended for the last 5 years now. Both my husband and myself come from Scottish decent. We love to visit the highland Games when they come to the beautiful Stone Montain Park, out side of Atlanta. this year was the Highland Games 40th. anniversary at  Stone Mountain Park!   This is the famous Stone Mountain. there is a beautiful carving on the side of Robert E. Lee and General Sherman.  While you stroll through the many Clan booths and wares people are selling, you can find a booth where you can purchase a beautiful costume. I love this picture so much of the elderly lady adjusting the beautiful costume for the young lady, as the mother looks on!  I always have to stop by my clans booth to visit this lovely couple.  Hi Sweet Fiends!! I hope All of you are enjoying some cooler weather, now that we are coming into Fall. I know some of you are still have some rather hot weather though. I have been pretty busy lately making different things. I made this beautiful Satin flower cuff bracelet recently, for a friend of mine, who loves pink!  I wrapped the cuff around this vintage jewelry roll. There are tiny accordion pockets that expand and a larger zippered compartment. I put little charms, crystal drops, a watch face, and other little trinkets in each pocket for her too! To the right is where I keep some of my ribbons and trims! Little fabric books..etc!  My newest Indian Maiden bag was a Birthday gift to a cherished friend of mine. Hi Dear Friends.... I have been absent from Blogland for soooo long! I have missed you very much!!! I can not believe that this is the last day of summer...where did it go??? For me summer was spent at the Physical Therapy office. In some ways I have improved, in other ways I have not. I will probably keep going for awhile longer. I started in June and now we are going into October. I must say the weather here in Georgia has cooled off a bit...whew I can not take the hot hot summers here at all!! Too hot for me! I wanted to share a collage I have just finished making for a dear friend of mine. Her birthday was a couple of weeks ago. But between her and my schedule's we have been unable to find the time to meet up. Nevertheless I made this just for her! She loves the soft greens, golds, tans, and pinks.  Hi Sweet Friends... Soooo I have been missing in action for quite a while now. Please excuse my lateness in blogging. I am still going to Physical Therapy for my hip, leg, and back. I do feel better...but I can't over do it!! This is me wearing my new hat!!! Vicki Boster was making some Fall hats and so I purchased one from her recently. I just received it in the mail today and so I had to try it on!!!! OMG....Lovin my new Hat!! Vicki is amazing at creating such works of art with her knitting needles. Hi Sweet Friends, I am hoping you are All doing well dear friends!! Lately I have been busy making another one of my bags for someone who contacted me on  Facebook recently.  She wanted to give her friend one of my bags to help her in her fight with Cancer. I was so honored to make this for her dear friend. As I sewed each stitch and placed each embellishment on the bag, I prayed that this sweet woman would beat her cancer and once again enjoy her life to the fullest in good Health and Happiness. As many of you know I send part of the money I recieve to go to KC Willis in her journey to help the Lakota Indians on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota. This bag as My friend so eloquently put it is like "Passing it Forward Twice"...one to help her friend and then also to help the Lakota people.  Hi Friends, I wanted to show you the progress I am making with my crazy quilt accessory purse I am making with the class at Artful Gathering this summer. I attached the clasp with beads, but still have to do the back of the clasp. I love that I added the beaded fringe on the bottom of the bag. It matches so well! This is the first time I ever made anything like this. I was a bit nervous about making this, but glad I pushed myself to take on the challenge.  I will also add a silver chain at the top of the clasp, as ther are two little holes on either side for that purpose. I took some closeup shots of the floral arrangement my family had sent to me.  I loved how the dappled light of the sun shown through the blinds upon the flowers and leaves.
