For those who aren't quite sure: "An Atlanta staple for more than 70 years, there is something for everyone at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. Virtually every kind of art imaginable is represented at the festival, with a nationally renowned-juried Fine Artist Market that includes sculpture, paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography and much more.
In addition to the fine art for adults and art collectors, there is a Kids Village featuring huge inflatables, arts & crafts and face painting for all ages, as well as the ever-popular 24-foot rock-climbing wall..."
Thank you so much Donatella for the information on the Dogwood Festival here in Atlanta. Being new myself it is nice to know what there is to offer everyone. 70 years is a very long time!!
Yes Dorthe it does look like a Castle I loved the way the plants and buildings and the person sitting on the ledge all seemed to just be perfect together.
Hello Dear Friends.... So I'm here again!...I may just start blogging once more!! I wanted to share with you a simple little collage I made this week. I used a vintage book cover as my base. I love the dark green base for the collage. The little girl is from Paper Whimsy. Since I wanted to make something to herald in springtime...I decided to use some vintage ephemera that I have collected over the years. I used a vintage book page from some nature pages my friend Tina had sent to me from Denmark. The feather I have the little girl holding is from a friend in British Columbia, from one of her birds, who donates his feathers!! LOL......I also used a wee little nest I was gifted in a swap a couple of years ago. The little metal hanger I though was a cute way to hang the collage...On the little label it says "Magical"! Springtime to me is a magical time of year, as nature once again brings forth beautiful flowers, and lush landscapes so pleasing to our soul. A...
scan Originally uploaded by sjmcdowell My oldest son Andy and his wife Dawn found out last week that their baby will be a girl. We have all been praying that all goes well this time, as they lost their daughter a year and a half ago six weeks before she was due on Christmas eve. It was a very hard time because they had tried three times to become pregnant and with the Fragile X complications to make it worse. With Fragile X if it is a boy the chances are very slim for a normal life. Boys have physical as well as mental disabilities where as girls who have Fragile X can go undetected as my daughter in-law was till she had a blood test when they were trying to get pregnant a couple of years ago. So this is great news and PLEASE say some prayers that this little girl will be healthy and that all will go well!! It has been such a heartbreaking trial these past two years and they want a baby so badly. Just before they found out they were pregnant they had finished up the last of the paper w...
Hi Everyone!! Hoping All of you are enjoying 2013 so far!! As for me...well I am sick with one of those horrible Flu like Virus' that are going around. Sorry to say I don't look as healthy as I do in this photo I took of myself on New Years Eve. At the moment I look like death warmed over, and feel like it!! Hoping to get back into my craft room when I feel better, and start going through a lot of my stuff and get rid of things I don't need anymore!! When the fabrics, ribbons, laces and such are all in their rightful places my mind can start thinking of new ideas and then the creative juices can once again flow. Drop in and say Hi...I love hearing from you!! Love and Blessings to All Susan XOXOX
